Abstract Landscape Painting

Artist’s Narrative:

“With ‘Land of Enchantment,’ I wanted to explore the transition between the rugged, physical earth and the ethereal glow of a desert night. This piece was born from a fascination with how moonlight transforms the landscape. It turns familiar hills into silhouettes of gold and deep shadow. I used thick, expressive brushwork and palette knife techniques to create a physical depth in the foreground. 

The central band of white and grey represents that elusive moment of movement, like a distant waterfall or the shifting of light across a cliff face. By contrasting the heavy, textured layers of the rolling hills against the sweeping, dark expanse of the sky, I aimed to capture the quiet power and mystery of the wilderness. To me, this painting isn’t just a view. Instead, it’s an emotional response to the vastness of the horizon and the magic found in the twilight hours.”
