Artist’s Narrative:

“With ‘Lakeside,’ I wanted to capture that quiet, almost sacred stillness found at the water’s edge before the world has totally woken up. I chose watercolor for this piece because of its natural ability to mirror the fluidity of water itself. In the mid-ground, deep, misty purples and soft indigos represent layers of distant trees and hills as a rising fog softens them.

I used a more saturated blue in the foreground to create the rhythmic ripples of the lake, contrasting with the pale, warm glow of the sky. Small, delicate silhouettes of birds in the distance provide a sense of scale and life within the vast, tranquil landscape. I created this painting to capture the peace of nature’s simplest moments—a visual deep breath that brings serene, atmospheric beauty to any space.”
