Abstract Fluid Redwood Painting

Artist’s Narrative:

I have always been deeply inspired by the ancient forests. I wanted this piece to evoke the intense, powerful feeling of the deep woods. When I was creating “Inner Redwood,” I felt like I was looking down through the very complex insides of an old Redwood tree. Consequently, I layered deep purples and earthy browns to represent the ancient bark and age.

I introduced vibrant rust oranges and touches of gold to capture the warmth hidden deep within the heartwood. I utilized the natural, fluid nature of the acrylics to create the swirling, cellular textures that mimic growth rings. Ultimately, this painting is my artistic journey into the heart of a giant, framed and ready for your collection.
